Back to School Giveaway
Here at Morales Funeral Home, our caring staff does more than simply say we love our Houston community – we show it! One of our biggest expressions of love for our neighbors is the annual Back to School Give Away coming up on Saturday, August 18th that we are honored to host at our location.
We are so proud to be a part of this event for the 21st year, thanks to the Morales Memorial Foundation, founded in 1993 by Angela V. Morales. This foundation started as way to serve Latino youth in Houston’s Greater East End and continues to serve Latino and non-Latino youth in the area. Its mission is to empower, inspire, and educate the Latino community for future leadership.
Our passion for education speaks for itself, and this giveaway is certainly a reflection of it! The Foundation gives away 2,000+ complete school kits free of charge. Also this year, The Morales Memorial Foundation is collaborating with CHRISTUS St. Mary’s Clinic to include FREE immunizations for children ages two months to 18 years, along with sports physicals (please bring your child’s original immunization record; school health records are not accepted).

Please keep in mind registration does not guarantee school supplies. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-service basis, so we encourage you to arrive early! This event will take place rain or shine, and your child must be present to receive a supply kit. Street parking is available along Canal Street and Navigation immediately surrounding the funeral home.
